Welcome from the Director

In this space you can find references about our education model and our history, our range of studies, our methodology and our teaching resources, as well as about the projection of the Institute in Spain and in the world.

The International Institute of Theology at a Distance, with a long history and experience in the formation of the laity since its foundation in the 70s, continues to be valid today when the presence of trained missionary disciples who give a reason for their faith and their hope in society is becoming more and more necessary. working in favor of the most needy.

Its pedagogy has always sought the harmonious development of the person – knowing, knowing how to be, knowing how to do and knowing how to share – favouring a personalised formation, scientifically deepening the analysis of today's society with its concrete features, taking on the heritage of previous generations, the challenges of the future and seeking a Christian response to these challenges. We not only want to train experts, but also to educate people who can actively contribute to building a better world.

Integral formation at the IITD implies identification with the values of the Gospel, the foundation of its entire educational project and always has as a reference in the content of its curricula, the Magisterium of the Church and the values of Christian humanism.

To conclude, I would just like to encourage all lay people, pastoral workers, catechists, religious, candidates for the permanent diaconate and anyone else interested in acquiring a solid formation, to learn about our project through this website or to go personally to any of our Associated Centers where we will attend you personally and present the offer of studies that best suits your needs and concerns.

Thank you for your interest and welcome!

Director of the IITD
