Registration for the DECA Online Course for Early Childhood and Primary Education

DECA Overview

The International Institute of Theology a Distancia, a collaborating center of the Ecclesiastical University of San Dámaso, offers the course that qualifies for obtaining the Ecclesiastical Declaration of Academic Competence ( DECA ) in Early Childhood and Primary Education in Spain.

The program established by the Spanish Episcopal Conference consists of four modules:

    • Person, religion, culture and values (Module I) – 6 ECTS credits.

    • Christian Message (Module II) – 6 ECTS credits.

    • The Church, the Sacraments and Morals (Module III) – 6 ECTS credits.

    • Pedagogy and Didactics of the Catholic Religion (Module IV) – 6 ECTS credits.

Upon passing all the modules, the student receives a certificate of studies that must be presented at the Spanish Episcopal Conference for the issuance of the official DECA certificate in Spain.

Methodology, evaluation and duration of DECA

Both the formation as the evaluation is developed entirely in our 100% online campus .

The license plate Remains Open all year round .

Once the enrolment has been formalised, the student will have access to the content and the mandatory self-verification exercises prior to the final Complex Test, which will be sent to the corresponding tutor for evaluation.

The Complete course can be completed between 4and 12 months . In the case of validations, the duration is adjusted to the credits recognized. If at the end of the 12 months there is a pending subject, the registration of the necessary subjects may be renewed.

Registration, requirements and price of the course DECA

To formalize the registration

  • You must prove the titration required ( Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood and Primary Education , or equivalent title). If you are finishing your studies, you may present a certificate issued by your university centre as provisional accreditation.
  • Complete and submit the Registration form . Finally, you will receive an email indicating the rest of the documentation that must be attached (degree or certificate of studies, ID card, proof of payment, a photograph).

    • By Modules: 175 € each.

    • Full course (4 modules ): 600 € .

The above amounts are Final Prices and include: tuition, classes, tutorials, teaching materials and Academic certificate that the student must present to the Episcopal Conference to be able process your DECA degree .
